Parks Grounds Maintenance
Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Superintendent of Parks, work performed in executing multiple types of maintenance, custodial, and construction tasks.

Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of ball fields, buildings, playgrounds, shelters, and other park facilities; responsible for mowing and trimming grass on Park property; responsible for operating a variety of equipment and tools in the performance of assigned tasks (i.e. farm tractors, commercial mowers and weed eaters, responsible for picking up litter and emptying trash cans in the parks.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge / Education: Knowledge of methods, materials, and procedures used in general repair and maintenance work; machines, tools, mowers, tractors, and equipment used in a variety of tasks required; general construction techniques; occupational hazards and safety precautions; lay out of sports fields; custodial equipment and procedures.
Supplemental information
Training & Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduating from high school; self-motivated, detail oriented, and possessing time management skills; must be able to work on ladders, lift heavy items, and work in outdoor weather conditions; valid driver's license required; must pass drug screen by licensed physician. Certified or must become certified in 1st aid, CPR, and AED.
Schedule is Monday-Friday evening. Some weekend work as assigned.
