You too can offer adventure recreation.  Even in a government setting.  Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a frank discussion of the risks of adventure recreation and how to protect your agency.  Then try your hand at a variety of adventure recreation options.

Renaissance Park Walking Tour: Collaborating for Clean Water 0.3 CEU
Take a walking tour of Renaissance Park, a 23 acre downtown riverfront park designed to highlight Chattanooga’s ecology and history. We’ll cover the historical, ecological, and social aspects that make this one of Chattanooga’s premier urban parks and the collaboration that make it all possible.

This offsite you’re going to learn a little bit about the history of the park, how it’s staffed and maintained, types of trails and activities, partnerships, and the types of users we attract. Then we will go on a hike through the park.
 
New Avondale YFD Center-Avondale Offsite 0.2CEU
 Does your agency have community centers? Or interested in getting one?  Come visit the newest in community center design and service to the citizens of Chattanooga.

Riverwalk with Pathways to Play Offsite 0.2CEU
Walk around the Riverwalk with Hamilton County Parks & Recreation and GameTime discussing the history of the park and unique partnerships that make the largest park in the urban core work.  Discuss maintaining and programming this urban setting.  Visit the Nature play pods and discuss how to integrate manufactured play environments with the living landscape, best practices and overcoming barriers.
 
Community Murals Offsite 0.2 CEU
Murals can bring a community together, showcase history and reduce vandalism.  Join us for a tour of some unique murals in Chattanooga both large and small and learn how the community was involved in the creation of each one.
