TRPEF holds one Student Scholarship and two Professional Scholarship cycles each year deadlines are:

  • September 2, 2010 for student scholarships
  • January 1, 2011 professional scholarships for schools/workshops held January-June, 2011
  • August 1, 2011 professional scholarships for schools/workshops held July-December, 2011

Gerald Parish - Executive Development School at Indiana University

Sherry Spicer-Dudley - TRPA Conference
Candi Rawlins - NRPA Congress
April Welch - National Association for Interpretive Trainer Workshop
One additional scholarship was awarded, however the individual declined the scholarship.


TRPEF's Economic Stimulus package for the TRPA Conference helped 16 first time attendees with $100 instant scholarships and 77 returning attendees with $30 instant scholarships for an additional scholarship investment of $3,910

Other TRPEF Projects include:

  • A building fund for TRPA
  • JW Rice donation program for student scholarships - Special thanks to all who participated in the annual JW Rice scholarship donation program donating almost $179 toward student scholarships in 2009!!
  • the annual Silent Auction and other events at the TRPA Conference to raise scholarship and professional scholarship money - Special thanks to all who donated and bid in the 2009TRPEF Auction and beverage sales helping raise approximately $3,681 for scholarships and professional grants for 2009!!
  • funding of research tools and helping fund speakers at the TRPA Conference
